Kaitlyn grew up in rural Pennsylvania before moving to NYC to study chemistry at Columbia University. While there, she worked with Prof. Ged Parkin to synthesize a class of divalent zinc bisformato complexes for use as hydrosilylation catalysts. Presently, she is investigating the coordination chemistry of high-valent actinide complexes.
