Tyler-Rayne Nero

B.S., Chemistry, Temple University, 2022

Tyler-Rayne’s hometown is in Stroudsburg, PA, and traveled to Philadelphia to pursue a degree in Chemistry at Temple University. During her undergraduate career, she worked with Dr. Graham Dobereiner and Dr. Eric Borguet. Her research involved studying the effects of counter anions on polyketone polymerization and exploring methods to degrade chemical warfare simulants, respectively. She was awarded an NSF-REU fellowship and worked under the guidance of Dr. Michael Neidig at the University of Rochester. Her focus was working on the isolation of homoleptic bisamide Tb(IV) complexes. Currently, she is investigating the coordination chemistry of high-valent lanthanide and actinide complexes.
